This study aims to examine the perspectives of seventh-grade students regarding the Thinking and Research textbook used in the sixth grade. The research was conducted within a qualitative paradigm using a descriptive-interpretive approach. The study population consisted of six male students from a private school and six female students from a public school in Shahin Shahr selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, and the research tools included an interview guide and the researcher. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that students' perspectives on this textbook fall into two categories positive and negative. In terms of positive aspects ۱. Strengthening questioning skills; ۲. Increasing concentration; ۳. Decision-making; ۴. Personal development; ۵. Time management; ۶. Understanding the theory of images and content; ۷. Interest in interesting stories; ۸. Increasing information; ۹. Recognizing opinions;   ۱۰. Changing beliefs; ۱۱. Understanding the material; ۱۲. Problem solving; ۱۳. Reducing shyness;   ۱۴. Respecting politeness;   ۱۵. Mediation; ۱۶. Balance; ۱۷. Expressing opinions;   ۱۸. Preparing to learn; ۱۹. Strengthening critical thinking skills. In contrast, in the negative dimensions, students mentioned classroom environment; ۲. Evaluation method through exams; ۳. Lack of images and information; ۴. Large volume of pages; ۵. Low quality of materials; ۶. Lack of attention to individual differences; ۷. Incompatibility of content with real life; ۸. Limited impact on other subjects; ۹. Limited educational tools; ۱۰. Lack of family cooperation; ۱۱. Lack of comprehensiveness in skill training; ۱۲. Lack of student activity; ۱۳. Incompatibility of the book title with the content in the educational environment; ۱۴. Lack of group activities. Given the weaknesses identified by students it is recommended that the authors and implementers of this textbook consider the characteristics of the adolescent generation and the extensive changes in today's world when revising and improving its content to better meet students' intellectual and research needs.
